This initiative, commended by the Minister Delegate for SMEs and Trade, Olivia Gr\u00e9goire, aims to reduce CO2 emissions from SMEs and thereby contribute to national climate objectives. This partnership reflects a growing awareness among companies of the importance of climate action and shared responsibility in the fight against climate change.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong> Key stages of the partnership between major companies and SMEs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Pacte PME association, which oversees this program, has designed three distinct pathways to support SMEs in their decarbonization efforts. These pathways include establishing carbon footprints, defining action plans, and implementing operational solutions. The first carbon footprints are scheduled to begin in autumn 2023. This progressive and structured approach will enable SMEs to address their energy transition effectively and sustainably, while benefiting from the support and expertise of the partner companies.   <\/p>\n<h2><strong> Government financial support and contribution from major companies<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The French government is providing significant financial support to this initiative, with an initial commitment of \u20ac650,000 for 2023. This amount may be adjusted based on first-year performance and future finance bills. The major companies involved also plan to dedicate human resources to this partnership, thereby demonstrating their commitment to SME decarbonization and the fight against climate change.
